Twenty-Six Martyrs Laid to Resting Place

Twenty-Six martyrs of the security forces on Thursday were escorted from Homs Military Hospital to their final resting place in Lattakia Martyrs Graveyard after they were targeted by external supported armed terrorist groups in Jisr al-Shughour.

Solemn processions were held for the martyrs as they were wrapped in the Syrian flag held up on shoulders while the Military Band was playing the “Farewell” and the “Martyr” tunes, and the mourners greeted them through throwing flowers and rice on their coffins.

The bodies of 20 martyrs on Wednesday were also escorted from the same Hospital to the Martyrs Graveyard in Lattakia.

Upon the arrival of the procession to the entrance of Lattakia, an official and popular reception was held for the martyrs where thousands of people gathered on both sides of the road to the Martyrs’ Cemetery.

A number of the martyrs’ families expressed pride over their sons’ sacrifices who lined the finest epics of heroism to thwart the foreign attack, stressing readiness to provide more sacrifices for Syria to remain a beacon of civilization and maintain its dignity and sovereignty.

They affirmed their support to the comprehensive reform program led by President Bashar al-Assad for building the strong and fortified Syria.
