Security forces in Sweden say two separate car bomb attacks have ripped through the Scandinavian country’s southern city of Malmo, with no immediate reports of human loss.

Police spokeswoman, Linda Pleym, said one of the bombs went off at the foot of a building in the multiethnic Rosengaard district of Malmo, situated 612 kilometers (380 miles) southwest of the capital, Stockholm, early on Saturday.

The second bombing took place moments later in a parking lot nearby.

There were no immediate reports of casualties in the two explosions. No group has claimed responsibility for the acts of violence, and it is not clear whether the bombings were connected or not.

The blasts are the latest in a series of bombings that has rocked Malmo in recent months.

On November 30, a justice center in Malmo was bombed. The explosion damaged the main entrance and front of the building. The force of the blast also blew apart windows of several nearby properties. Only one person suffered minor injuries in the blast.

In February, the same building had been targeted with a bomb attack, which caused a similar amount of damage. No one was injured in that blast.

The justice center houses a courthouse, police and prosecution offices, and a detention center.

Swedish police launched Operation Olivia at the start of 2014 in a bid to combat organized crime and increase safety in Malmo. Around 100 shootings took place in the city in 2013.
