Two Palestinian prisoners declare hunger strike

The two Palestinian prisoners Majed Abu Shamla and Hassan Rabayaa, from Jenin, declared an open hunger strike in protest against their administrative detention.

Abu Shamla, 24, was arrested on January 17, 2016 while Rabayaa, 31, was detained on Match 31, 2016.

Since their arrest, they were held in Negev prison without charge or trial. There are currently six hunger strikers in Israeli jails, including four administrative detainees.
