A new poll has found that British Labour leader Ed Miliband has little chance of occupying the Prime Ministerial seat at Downing Street No 10 as only one third of the public consider him as a potential occupier of the post.

The Opinium poll commissioned by the Observer found that only 31 percent of voters see Miliband as a potential premier with 11 percent saying he could “definitely” become the PM while 20 percent say he is likely to win the job.

While the results are slightly higher than the findings last September when 28 percent saw the Labour leader as a premier-to-be, they underline the difficulty he would be facing to defeat the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition in 2015.

Meanwhile, in terms of the three party leaders’ approval, Conservatives’ David Cameron was in the lead with a score of minus 19, that is 31 percent approving and 51 percent disapproving, compared to Miliband’s minus 20 and Lib Dems’ Nick Clegg’s minus 45.
