UK real threat to Middle East: Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed Imam Khamenei

Leader of the Islamic Revolution has told a group of people from Qom province national glory hinged upon a strong economy and technological advances, among other things.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received and addressed a group of people from Qom province in Tehran on the occasion of anniversary of January 9, 1978 which the Leader believed was a forerunner for the Revolution of 1979. The uprising against the regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in Qom was the culmination of the atrocity against the public and the crackdown that ensued rendered dozens dead and kidnapped.

Ayatollah Khamenei told the meeting that a strong and independent judiciary would help the nation to defeat the odds against the enemies; “such judiciary should be also subject of appreciation and praise by the public,” he added, thus making passing references to recent discussions between President Rouhani and the Head of Judiciary Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani; “such differences will be ultimately settled; important authorities should see the framework set by the enemies to weaken the Revolutionary institution in broader vista to abort such plans to undermine the system.”

Ayatollah Khamenei formulated through his speech four constellations of concepts which he highlighted as contributing to fostering a successful Establishment; “improve the spiritual values and inculcate in the young cohort a faith in religion; this is a responsibility to which all bodies and government authorities should contribute as an element of national glory and one which has played important roles in historic bottlenecks where the clergy and religious leaders mobilized the nation against issues of national priority,” he told the meeting. “Religious piety has been crucial during past 140 years of the country’s history; in boycott on tobacco, Constitutional Revolution of 1906, and nationalization of oil in 1950 are all historical bottlenecks the clergy pioneered the public dissatisfaction with the status quo and led the masses toward certain course of action and succeeded in variety of extents,” he asserted.

“A lesson January 9 uprising teaches us is to accurately know the enemy and its subterfuges and entering action timely; this is not an empty shibboleth that our enemies are real and looming around the region; for example, John Kerry’s valedictory letter recommends the new administration to bolster sanctions on Iran and to be tough on dealing with the country; a smiling enemy is still an enemy; this is the example of an enemy state; or the British the old colonialist vulpine power now decides on behalf of the nations of the region; they are the very threat to the same countries, but blow in the shrill trumpet of propaganda that Iran is a threat to Arab states once protectorates of the Britain,” Ayatollah Khamenei objected.

“Foreign powers definitely would speak of no single Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Libya; however, they still practice caution evidently about Iran, lest the backfire it would incite in the national consciousness and collective identity,” said the Leader. “A second constellation is to improve components of national glory and bolstering national power; on this constellation, the major responsibility lies with the academia, seminary schools, and cultural magnets along with elites of the politics.”

Ayatollah Khamenei denounced what he believed was spreading under false pretexts of isolation of religion and the state which was actively sponsored by circles in the west; “their efforts have been focused on denigrating the political religion; they want to isolate the mainstream of the Muslims and to pin them down busy with their religion in mosques, a sort of ivory tower where good Muslims should not think politics and assume an internal lifestyle which shuns the real challenges of political life,” he criticized the view.

“The third constellation is to address problems of sanctions; public welfare had been a target and the plans focused on creating rifts between the public and the Establishment through economic pressures; still a fourth constellation of national glory is a sense of national sovereignty; uprightness in international community and to defy any sort of coercion,” Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution also touched recent media onslaught on IRGC, Guardian Council, and Basij in the same line with efforts to hit the system; on the issue of Judiciary and government, he believed some features of the interaction had been largely aggrandized for manipulating the public mentality. He also made parallels between January 9, 1978 and December 30, 2009 where in both events, public outburst and rallies surprised and at the same time rocked the enemies with despair, occasions which the enemies were in grave miscalculation about the capacity of the nation and totally inaccurate interpretation of the events.
