UN resolution counts for nothing

The adoption of a new sanctions resolution against Iran at the UN Security Council has sparked a strong reaction from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“For the Iranian nation, such resolutions count for nothing”, President Ahmadinejad was quoted by ISNA as saying.

He said those who are in possession of A-bombs themselves and use their nukes to threaten other nations are issuing sanctions resolutions against Iran one after the other under the pretext that Tehran might develop nuclear weapons in the future.

“They are not able to deal a blow to the Iranian nation”, said the Iranian president who is currently in Tajikistan.

“The realm of politics has become one of deception, aggression and expansionism”, added President Ahmadinejad.
