Unity Conf. provides ground for fulfilling set objectives: Sunni cleric

The religious cleric, Mamousta Mostafa Mahmoudi in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) beckoned to the coming unity conference to be mounted in Iran Capital of Tehran stressing, the annual event would provide Muslims and religious clerics with required grounds for promoting unity and rapprochement in the World of Islam.

Briefing on the programs and activities advanced by the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, the religious cleric underscored Iran top unity body7 released many a book and magazine in the unity related area, organizing quite a few meetings and conferences for boosting unity among Muslims from religious sects and denominations.

Mamousta Mostafa Mahmoudi sternly wanted religious cleric and thinkers of the fallouts of spreading Takfiri and extrimist groups in the world placing stress on the necessity and prime importance of informing Muslims.

Highlighting the necessity of boosting rapprochement and solidarity among Muslims in the World, the Sunni cleric underscored the prime importance of vigilance and awareness for advancing the set objectives in this area.

Established on October 1990 by order of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has taken several steps to undermine disagreements between different Islamic denominations, boosting solidarity among Muslims across the globe.

The center has also held several cultural and religious conferences the most outstanding one is the annual Islamic Unity Conference held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the Islamic unity center, is currently led by grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki trying its utmost to fulfill unity related objectives such as institutionalizing Islamic teachings, expanding movements of the world of Islam for realization of a unified Islamic Ummah (nation) and also formation of the great Islamic movement.
