Unity is not a political slogan: Cleric

The instructor at the religious seminary of Kermanshah province, Hojjatol  Islam Seyyed Habib ollah Mosavie placed stress on the prime importance of unity in the Islamic Society urging Muslims to preserving solidarity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The religious cleric urged Muslims from all sects and denominations to hear each other’s takes on religious and philosophical matters and to be open to various opinions.

Hojjatol Islam Seyyed Habib ollah Mosavie underscored, “The telling impact of unity on Muslims life is unavoidable and Muslims give their consummate attention for promoting unity in the Islamic society. ”

The instructor at the religious seminary of Kermanshah province sternly warned Muslims of the plots and machinations by enemies demanding Muslim nations and leaders to move against extremist groups.

Hojjatol Islam Seyyed Habib ollah Mosavie underscored, “Unity is not just a political slogan, but a way for braving all setbacks we are facing with.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the religious cleric held Takfiri groups as the main danger threatening the World of Islam stressing religious clerics are responsible to inform people of the such danger and come up with strategies for countering these groups.

It is noteworthy to this end; the World Forum for proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought held its annual conference on “Unity, Necessity of Countering Takfiri movements” with prominent religious cleric and leaders in attendance.

The unity event this year was centered on the hows of countering Takfiri groups for boosting unity among Muslims and braving the standing problems the World of Islam is mired in.

Role of Takfiri currents in fomenting discord among Muslims, the need for countering Takfiri currents in order for realizing Islamic unity, the danger of Takfiri currents for keeping alive the issue of Palestine, and the Zionist regime’s use of Takfiri currents were among the topics discussed at the three-day event.

Attended by its prominent members and thinkers from other Malaysia, Russia, Indonesia, Iraq, Lebanon, Thailand, U.K, Australia, China and etc., the event provided a ground for its attendees to exchange their views for sorting out the standing setbacks Muslim nations are mired in.

Islamic unity conference is mounted so as to promote unity of the Islamic Ummah which has been a major axis in the thoughts of many leading Muslim intellectuals worldwide.

The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought annually holds the international conference on the occasion of birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Islamic Unity Week.
