University Students Dialogue Sessions Focus on Comprehensive Reform Program

Dialogue sessions at several Syrian universities continued on Monday on students’ views about the comprehensive reform program and their expectations about the impact of the program on their life.

Students called for actual participation of young people in the reform process and the necessity of suggesting new ideas concerning the mechanisms of creating job opportunities for graduates.

In Sweida city, Participants in the dialogue session called for boosting the culture of dialogue in the society and making national dialogue an atmosphere where viewpoints come closer.

They also called for distancing religious discourse from fundamentalism.

In Daraa city, students focused on the current developments in Syria and their views about the reform process and the necessity of combating corruption and amending some articles of the constitution.

In Hasaka city, students stressed that reform starts from the individual and then it expands to the family and then the whole society.

In Idleb city, participants focused on activating the role of representative councils such as the People’s Assembly and the Students Union, pointing out to the importance of combating corruption and creating job opportunities for young people.

In Raqqa city, participants in the dialogue session focused on the importance of dialogue in the current stage. They also stressed that all citizens should take part in the reform process.
