Unrelenting Violence Strikes Gaza Following Most Lethal Day Since March

Zionist regime persistently escalates its military operations in Gaza, following the most lethal day for Palestinians in the blockaded region since hostilities resumed in March.

Medical sources report that 74 Palestinians have been killed on Friday, predominantly due to attacks targeting the northern Gaza Strip.

According to a medical professional at the Indonesian Hospital in the northern city of Beit Lahia, the facility has received 30 fatalities and numerous injured individuals, predominantly comprising children and women.

In the meantime, al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia received the bodies of five fatalities and over 75 injured individuals, according to Mohammed Saleh, the hospital’s acting director.

Yousef al-Sultan, a 40-year-old resident of the al-Salatin area, west of Beit Lahia, reported to AFP that the Israeli forces targeted the adjacent house with direct bombings while its occupants were inside. He described the situation as involving airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire from quadcopter drones.

He noted that a significant wave of civilian displacement is occurring, with fear and panic enveloping individuals during the night.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes on Gaza over the past 36 hours have resulted in the deaths of over 250 individuals. Additionally, approximately 150 injured have been transported to the Indonesian Hospital and al-Awda Hospital for treatment.

Munir al-Bursh, director-general of Gaza’s Health Ministry, has accused the Zionist regime of deliberately targeting medical facilities.

Subsequent to a series of intense Israeli strikes near the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, located in the southern region of Gaza, a series of massacres occurred in northern Gaza.

According to a report by Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, a minimum of 40 bunker buster bombs were deployed in a strike aimed at allegedly demolishing an underground complex linked to Palestinian resistance.

Israel initiated a substantial military campaign in Gaza on October 7, 2023, resulting in over 53,000 Palestinian casualties.

In January, Israeli authorities were compelled to accept a ceasefire agreement with Hamas after failing to meet their objectives, such as dismantling the Palestinian resistance or securing the release of hostages.

The 42-day period of the truce, disrupted by numerous Israeli infractions, concluded on March 1. However, Israel is holding back from entering into negotiations for the next phase of the agreement.

On March 18, the administration recommenced its strikes on Gaza, effectively ending a nearly two-month ceasefire and disrupting the prisoner-captive exchange agreement.

**Netanyahu Missing ‘Historic Opportunity’: Families of Israeli Captives**

Families of Israelis held captive have expressed their concern, stating that Netanyahu is missing a “historic opportunity” to secure their release. They urge prompt action and negotiation to ensure their loved ones’ safe return, emphasizing the significance of the moment.

Israel’s primary organization representing the families of captives who remain detained in Gaza has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of missing a “historic opportunity” for their release. Meanwhile, Trump has concluded a visit to West Asia.

The families of the captives expressed deep concern and heavy hearts this morning, citing increased attacks in Gaza and the impending conclusion of Trump’s visit to the region, according to a statement released Friday by the “Hostages and Missing Families Forum.”

The group asserted that failing to seize this historic opportunity would constitute a significant failure, one likely to be remembered in infamy for generations.
