US-backed puppet Bahraini regime Arrest Bahraini Muslim Women

Bahraini authorities arrested the daughter of the international human rights activist Abdulhadi Khawaja, Zeinab, and the head of the woman department in the prominent opposition group al-Wefaq, Ahlam al-Khaza’i.

Zeinab Khawaja was arrested late on Thursday as she was taking part in “Deciding Our Fate”, activity, which February 14 Youth Coalition had called for in several cities and villages across Bahrain.

The last time Zeinab was seen during her protest alone at al-Qadam roundabout, as she was holding her crutch following her injury in her leg earlier.

For her part, Zeinab’s mother, Khadija Mousawi wrote on her account on Twitter: “My dear daughter, they have arrested you. They have earlier injured you by a tear gas bomb in a bid to hinder your participation in the rights protests. They thought that you would surrender and stay at your home. However, it’s not my daughter Zeinab who abandon our rights.”

Meanwhile, Al-Khalif forces also arrested the head of the woman department in al-Wefaq association as she was in Bahrain’s airport on her way to Tunisia to take part in a rights conference held by Amnesty international.
