US ill policies defeated by regional resistance

Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Broujerdi said in Tehran on Monday that resistance of regional states has defeated US policies in the region.

According to IRNA, Broujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with visiting president of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Algerian National Assembly Belgasem Belabbas in Tehran.
He said US is interested in changing power equation in the region and weakening the Islamic world, but its policies had been doomed to failure due to the regional nations resistance.
On bilateral ties, the MP stressed that the two sides should take great steps towards fostering bilateral relations and boosting trade transactions.
He also voiced the Iranian parliament’s willingness to enhance cooperation with the Algerian side in all areas.
Belabbas, for his part, noted implementing mutual agreements in economic, industrial and trade fields has opened a new chapter in bilateral relations.
He also announced his country’s support for Iran’s right to peruse peaceful nuclear energy.
