US incapable of attacking Iran militarily: Top cmdr.

342864_Iran-commander-JazayeriA senior Iranian commander has underlined the Islamic Republic’s enormous military capabilities, stating that the United States is incapable of launching a military attack against the country.

“The enemy knows that the entire expanse of the Zionist regime (of Israel) is covered by the military net of the Islamic Republic, and a military action against Iran amounts to utter insanity,” Deputy Chairman of Iranian Armed Forces’ Chief of Staff Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri said on Monday.

He added, “For years, our commanders have kept their fingers on the trigger, and they have been given the permission and authority [to attack enemies]. This is not a bluff and propaganda.”

“Not only is enemy fearful of Iran’s military capabilities, the ominous Zionist regime dreads such capabilities day and night,” the Iranian commander said.

Jazayeri said that “the enemy is aware that the Islamic Republic has the power to destroy US and Israeli illegitimate interests in the region and can deliver them serious and crippling blows.”

On November 3, former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton pushed Israel for a military strike against Iran over the country’s nuclear energy program.

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly session on October 1, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened unilateral military action against Iran to dismantle the Islamic Republic’s civilian nuclear facilities.

On October 4, Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan dismissed Israel’s warmongering threats against the Islamic Republic, saying the Israeli regime is “too weak to dare make such a brazen move.”

The United States, Israel, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

In addition, the IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence showing that the Iranian nuclear program has been diverted toward military objectives.
