US-israel backed ISIL rockets kill nine girls at Syrian school

At least nine schoolgirls have been killed and more than a dozen others injured in a rocket attack launched by foreign-sponsored Takfiri militants against a residential area in the eastern Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor.

A Syrian Interior Ministry source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the nine schoolgirls lost their lives and 15 others were injured when several rockets fired by militants struck a school building in the Harabesh neighborhood of the provincial capital city of Deir ez-Zor, located 450 kilometers (280 miles) northeast of the capital, Damascus, on Tuesday morning, Syria’s official news agency SANA reported.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights blamed the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group for the rocket attack.

The development came only a day after three young girls were killed and two others wounded when a barrage of rockets fired by Takfiri terrorists slammed into Nile Street in Syria’s northern city of Aleppo.

The projectiles also caused substantial damage to several houses at the targeted area.

Elsewhere in the Salhab town of the western-central province of Hama, two civilians were killed and eight others injured after rockets fired by Takfiri extremists struck residential neighborhoods.

Also on Monday, a civilian lost life and nine others sustained injuries in a terrorist mortar attack against the northern Damascus neighborhood of Barzeh.

The foreign-sponsored conflict in Syria, which flared in March 2011, has claimed the lives of more than 250,000 people and left over one million injured, according to the United Nations (UN).

The world body says 12.2 million people, including more than 5.6 million children, remain in need of humanitarian assistance in Syria. The foreign-sponsored militancy in the Arab country has also displaced 7.6 million people.
