US nation distressed with Trump’s extremism

The Head of Strategic Researches Center at Iran’s Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati addressed the media after receiving the visiting Armenian defense minister in Tehran on Thursday.

“What the new administration has brought for the people of the US harms the interests of the American people,” said Ali Akbar Velayati, the Head of Strategic Researches Center at Iran’s Expediency Council, on Thursday, after meeting with visiting Armenian Defense Minister, Vigen Sargsyan, in Tehran.

“We are witnessing that even the people of the US are unhappy with Trump’s extremism,” asserted the senior advisor of Iran’s Leader. “Those inexperienced in politics should take lessons from their predecessors that buzzing without backing is of no use and just makes a clown of the new US president.”

The veteran diplomat, who was the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for 16 years (1980-1996), advised the new rulers of the US to ask the former rulers why the American were defeated in Afghanistan and Iraq.

“The recent meeting on solving the Syrian crisis in Astana proved that Iran, Russia, and Turkey can solve their own regional problems without the interventions of the US or other westerners,” reiterated the Iranian official boasting the regional influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Middle East.

Articulating that it is not the first time that an inexperienced person threatens Iran, Velayati reassured that it would take not a long time that the new American administration find out the futility of threatening Iran. “Iran is the top power of the region, with high political and economic potentials, which heeds no attention to the intimidations voiced by the Americans. To defend itself, Iran will ask no country’s permission.”

Reacting to the remarks made by the American officials on Iran’s missile tests, Velayati reiterated that the Iranian missiles are defensive and Iran will strongly continue its missile program.

“The Americans have taken no positive step toward Iran and they owe a lot to Iran,” said the former Iranian FM, “the former US administration reneged a lot on the JCPOA, and added more sanctions in contrast with the spirit of the JCPOA.” Velayati urged the Americans to shoulder the responsibility for all their broken promises and threatening.

He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran proved that the Americans cannot block the waves of the Islamic Awakening and all Americans’ intimidations are barks with no bites.
