US Power in Region Undermined by Iran

A senior Iranian defense ministry official stressed Iran’s key role in undermining the US and arrogant powers’ influence and power in the region.

“Iran has brought the whole US might and power under question,” Seyed Jamaleddin Mir-Mohammadi said, and added that, “Iran is the only country whose will and control is not in the hands of the arrogance and is, rather, living on the basis of its own insight and interests.”

“The Islamic Republic’s moves are against the interests of the arrogant powers”, and Iran has, thus, become the greatest threat to the West’s interests, he added.

In relevant remarks in February, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that the West has intensified its animosity towards Iran because the Islamic Revolution has turned into a source of inspiration for the revolutions and popular uprisings which have swept the Middle-East and North Africa.

Analysts also believe that the US is at loggerheads with Iran due to Tehran’s independence and its progress in various fields, which give the Islamic Republic the potential to turn into a world power and a role model for the other third-world countries.
