US pro-Israel bias demonizing Islam

A political analyst says the US media hype over a UAE flight is a pro-Israeli move aimed at demonizing Muslims across the world.

“So what they’re trying to do is demonize Muslims not only in Yemen but also in Iran and elsewhere so we could continue fighting these wars for and because of Israel,” political analyst James Morris told Press TV on Tuesday.

“But then again let’s go back to the root cause of America’s terrorism problem. US support for what Israel does brutally oppress the Palestinian people. Why isn’t that being made known in the American media?” he added.

“We have got to fix our (US) foreign policy and get the pro-Israel lobby out of the American politics,” he noted.

On Friday, fighter jets accompanied an Emirates plane into New York’s JFK airport after a security alert claimed that the airplane was carrying “suspicious” parcels from Yemen.

The circulation of dubious reports spread fear in the international community.

Emirati authorities, however, rejected the claim by the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

Western officials first floated the idea that the package was a “bomb” meant to be detonated on UK or US soil. They, however, later claimed that the explosion was to take place in flight to spread fear.

Neither of the two theories was backed by evidence or confessions of a suspect and it is not known why and how the officials could know where the explosion was to take place.

This is while the “suspicious” parcel later turned out to be a printer tuner.

Under US pressure authorities in Yemen arrested a female student whose name and phone number was used in registering the parcel. Later, however, Yemeni official released the student saying that the woman was framed, and her identity was used without her knowledge.

Despite the media hype over the issue, Western authorities have failed to release video footage of the so called “suspicious” parcel and sufficed to release still images.
