‘US public hails Iran’s wise leadership’

An American commentator says that the Americans are increasingly coming to the understanding that statements by The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei are more truthful and honest than those of their own leaders.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Islamic Republic condemns the death of innocents in the US or anywhere else in the world. “Pursuant to Islamic logic, the Islamic Republic of Iran opposes any blast or the killing of innocents be it in Boston in the US or Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria and condemns it,” Ayatollah Khamenei told a group of Army commanders on Wednesday. “The US and other so-called human rights advocates remain silent on the massacre of innocents in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, but they cause a ruckus after a few blasts in the United States,” the Supreme Leader stated. The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei underscored the “contradictory” behavior of the US and its allies regarding human rights issues, calling their position on the Islamic Republic “illogical”.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Dr. Kevin Barrett, with the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance from Madison to shed more light on the issue. What follows is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: I want to get your reaction, A: to Ayatollah Khamenei condemning these Boston blasts and B: his pointing out of these double standards by the United States.

Barrett: I think that Ayatollah Khamenei is absolutely right. I could not have said it better myself.

It is true the US is committing terrorism all over the world and ironically enough many of these terrorist attacks, drone attacks, bombings, some of them false flag events, these are very, very similar to what happened in Boston.

In fact, the video of the horrible carnage in Boston resembled the videos of what has happened after US drone attacks when wedding parties and other gathering of innocent people have been attacked by the US.

So in some cases, these bombings are almost identical and in some cases, the perpetrators are individuals who may be working for the US or other Western intelligence services. Raymond Davis, a CIA agent, was arrested in Pakistan last year as he was orchestrating terrorist attacks on markets and mosques that were going to be blamed on Islamic extremists.

So the US is waging terrorist warfare against people all over the world and then when something like this happens in Boston, the media generates a huge outcry, whipping people up into a kind of a xenophobic frenzy blaming it on some others. Currently there are rumors of some dark-skinned individual; there was a Saudi man who was being blamed and all of this is part of the propaganda apparatus; there is attempted to basically divide and conquer the world.

Press TV: Mr. Barrett, do you believe that Americans see through their government’s hypocrisy?

Barrett: More and more do. Polls show that about one third of Americans…, actually Scripps poll shows that it was 36 percent, which is more than one-third of Americans believe that 9/11 was an inside job.

So at least one-third of the country understands that they are being lied to in an absurd and Orwellian fashion and another one-third does not really support these US wars of aggression.

It is only about one third of the American people who have been effectively brainwashed.

So I think that the imperial mind control apparatus or what Noam Chomsky called …, Manufacturers of Consent, are finding it more and more difficult to brainwash the American people and to going along with these obscene and illegal wars of aggression around the world.

I think that more and more Americans are actually going to be coming around to accepting that what the Supreme Leader of Iran is saying is a lot more honest and truthful and realistic than what they are hearing from their own leaders here in the US.
