US seeking to sow religious discord – Larijani

IRI parliament speaker Ali Larijani said Sunday morning that sowing religious discord in the region is the main US strategy.

Addressing a parliamentary open session this morning, he said what was going on in Iraq and Syria in the past few weeks is a proof that the US is following such a policy in the region.

By creating fantasy enemies and hypothetical targets, Washington is trying to divert its public opinion from its domestic economic crises as well as the disgraceful pull out of the US troops from Iraq and continuous fall down of its puppet regimes in the region, Larijani reiterated.

The speaker further wondered why the US officials were unable to understand the roots of the universal hatred towards America.

Larijani said planting bombs alongside the route of procession of Imam Hossein mourners and blasts in Sadr City are among the US plots which are carried out by assistance of a number of regional states.
