US seeks prolonged presence in region by creating crisis

Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said here on Thursday that the US is seeking to extend

its presence in the region by creating crisis continually.

In a meeting with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Farooq Hamid Naek, he added that Pakistan’s security and progress are integral parts.

Given various areas of cooperation, it’s necessary for the two countries to devise a comprehensive plan for cooperation at regional and international levels, he said.

Referring to the US’ 30-year enmity with the Iranian nation, Jalili said that progress and security of Iran is the outcome of deep relationship between the nation and Islamic Republic system.

He also reiterated that Iran and Pakistan can play a crucial role in regional affairs.

Naek, for his part, underlined Iran’s role in regional and international issues.

He called for promotion of bilateral ties.
