US should be accountable for its basic HR violation

845252_orig (1)Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says the US should stop accusing other countries falsely, and stop its own violation of the basic principles of human rights and international law.
In reaction to the US State Department annual report and its baseless claims against Iran’s human rights record, Mehmanparast said that the US government should be accountable for their performance in those areas, which violates the basic principles of human rights and international law instead of continued and repeated practice of falsely condemning other countries.

He added that “the US politics-infested approach and applying double standards on human rights in the world is not new and has become the country’s political tradition.”

Foreign Ministry spokesman provided a list of the human rights abuses by the US authorities, including:

Supporting of the MEK group and delisting them from its terrorist groups list
Creating illegal foreign detention centers, continued operation of Guantanamo prison and systematic torture, and violations of human rights in that prison.
Brutal killings of civilians in various parts of the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan through occupations and assassination by armed UAVs.
Kidnapping of other countries nationals and transferring them to a third country illegally.
Violence against immigrants and their families, crack down on popular protests of social movements like ‘Occupy Wall Street’.
Abuse and harassment of American Muslims as part of Islamophobia, racism and xenophobia.
Poor situation in the US prison system and having the largest prison in the world.
He continued: “it is appropriate for the US to replace the incorrect and repeated condemnation of other countries, and be accountable for her own performance in this area which violates the basic principles of human rights and international law.”
