Bombs, shootings kill 50 people in Iraq

Iraqi security and hospital sources say car bombs, roadside bombs and shootings in Iraq has killed at least 50 people and injured dozens more.

All of the deadly incidents occurred on Sunday.
The biggest attack took place in the city of Baqubah where a car bomb exploded near a housing complex, killing 11 people and injuring 34.
Attacks also hit the provinces of Salaheddin and Nineveh in the north of the country. Five people were killed in a car bomb blast in Balad town in Salaheddin, while eight people including five soldiers were killed and more than 100 people were wounded in separate attacks in Nineveh.
The incidents are the latest in a string of attacks across Iraq that have left more than 4,400 people dead since the beginning of 2013.
