US Students Harass Former CIA Chief: Out War Criminal!

lvl120130913101006Retired Army Gen. David Petraeus didn’t get a warm welcome on his first day of teaching at City University of New York.

A video posted to YouTube shows students berating the former CIA director as he makes his way to teach his first class at CUNY’s Macaulay Honors College.

The students are seen following Petraeus, calling him a “war criminal,” a “murderer” and a “disgusting imperialist.” He does not react to the taunting or break his stride.
The students continue to pursue Petraeus as he crosses the street.
The group is then heard chanting “every class David,” implying that they will continue their heckling campaign during his time at CUNY.

The group came prepared with signs of protest.

Petraeus’ teaching assignment for the fall semester is a course called “Are We on the Threshold of the North American Decade?”.
Petraeus played vital roles in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars during his military career. He was appointed as director of the CIA in 2011, but resigned that post last year after an extramarital affair scandal.

The former military officer was to be paid a $150,000 salary for his teaching assignment at CUNY’s Macaulay Honors college. This was cut to $1 after criticism from the university’s faculty union and the Daily News’ editorial page.
