Vahidi: A safe Iraq leaves vital impacts on regional equations

Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmed Vahidi said on Wednesday that a safe Iraq would play a key role in regional and global equations.

According to IRNA, he made the remarks in a meeting with Iraqi Interior Minister Adnan al-Assadi in Tehran on Wednesday.
“Promotion of stability and security in Iraqi is the need of the time”, he said adding that a secured and developed Iraq can leave crucial impacts on regional and global equations.
General Vahidi said that hosting the G5+1 and Arab league conferences by Iraq proves this claim.
He added, “We are pleased to witness that Iraq has successfully overcome most of its problems which proved the capabilities of its domestic forces particularly after withdrawal of US troops from that country”.
The Iranian minister underlined that the enemies try to weaken or annihilate resistance front in a bid to help the Zionist regime dominate the entire region and for this reason they have targeted Syria.
The Iraqi interior minister, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Iran and said Tehran sees no limits on expansion of relations with Baghdad and welcomes all-out cooperation between the two countries.
He also lauded Iran’s significant scientific and technological progress, and said that Tehran and Baghdad can play a key role in restoring security and stability to the region.
