Vatican called for caution in dealing with the allegations of using chemical weapons in Damascus Countryside by Syrian Arab Army and not to issue any judgment without evidence, wondering about the direct interest of the Syrian government in that act.
“There should not be a judgment until there is sufficient proof,” Silvano Tomasi, the Vatican’s permanent observer at the United Nations in Geneva said in an interview with Vatican radio.
Tomasi reiterated the Vatican rejection of military intervention in Syria, calling for finding solution by negotiation without preconditions and form “Transitional government”.
The Vatican diplomat strongly criticized the incomplete analysis of the media to the situation in Syria and the Middle East in general.
