Venezuela committed to continue strategic unity with Iran

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stressed his country’s commitment to deepen strategic solidarity with Tehran.

According to IRNA, he made the remarks in his message to the Iranian President-elect Hassan Rohani who won a landslide victory in June 14 presidential election.
In the message, Maduro congratulated the Iranian nation on behalf of his revolutionary nation and government and said the Bolivarian government is committed to its strategic ties with Iran as the legacy of its leader the late Hugo Chavez in line with creating a pluralist and fair world.
Meanwhile, President of Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq Ammar Hakim in a message Sunday congratulated president-elect Hassan Rohani on his landslide victory in presidential election.
He hoped that bilateral ties between the two countries will further improve in line with the two friendly nationsˈ common interests.
