Video- Iran hosts an intl. conference on dialogue among religions and cultures in Asia

Tehran has hosted a two-day international conference on dialogue among religions and cultures in Asia.
More than 46 scholars from 21 Asian countries including Afghanistan, India, Iraq, Japan, and Kazakhstan have participated in the event.
The aim of the conference was to review cultural relations among Asian nations and promote respect for cultural and religious diversity. Globalization and Asian convergence have also been discussed at the event.
The participants have called for enduring values in the field of religion and culture, and the eradication of violence and poverty as some of the major aims of the conference.
Religion and culture are regarded as a guarantee for the development of unity.
Religion plays a significant role in regional unity and acts as the best means to promote peace and spirituality in the region. But at the same time all divine religions have called for respecting the faiths and religions of other peoples.
The conference is seen as the best means to reach a milestone in international ties helping to achieve peace based on culture and religion.
