Video- Islamic Republic Day in Iran – The Day of the Oppressed over the Arrogant

It 1st started over thirty years ago, with the Islamic revolution of Iran as the great and late Ayatollah Imam Khomeini entered Iran and overthrew the monarchy of the Pahlavi Dynasty of the late Mohammad Reza Shah. The Shah left Iran for exile in mid-January 1979, and two weeks later Ayatollah Khomeini returned to Tehran to a greeting by several million Iranians. The leader of the revolution the late Imam Khomeini had returned from France to end the Western-backed monarchy of Reza Shah.

Then the Iranian nation, after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, made the historic and decisive choice of voting for the establishment of an Islamic Republic system through a two-day referendum which was held in March 1979. Over 98.2 percent of Iranians in the referendum voted ’yes’ to the Islamic Republic form of government, and since then April 1 has been observed every year as Islamic Republic Day. A combination of the arrival of the spring of the Islamic Revolution and a government, based on religious democracy, was born in the world and justice and freedom began to rule Iran.
Although the world arrogance of Western countries and their allies and other enemies of the Islamic Revolution, have continued to exert all their efforts to make a failure out of it, are still continuing with their efforts today. However the persistency, resistance ad tenacity of Iran’s Muslim and revolutionary people, will cause their attempts to fail like they have over the past 30 years.
