For the first time in nearly three years, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is in full control of the Sadkop Fuel Depot, putting a swift end to Jaysh Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) long-standing presence inside this strategic site in southern Aleppo.

Led by the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces,” the government units managed to break-through Jaysh Al-Fateh’s defenses inside the Al-Ramouseh District, paving the way for their eventual advance to the Sadkop Fuel Depot.

Video footage from the capture of Al-Ramouseh on Thursday:

Unlike the battle for the Al-Ramouseh District, the fight for the Sadkop Fuel Depot was relatively quick, which came as a surprise for several observers who expected Jaysh Al-Fateh to still maintain control over this strategic site.

With the Sadkop Fuel Depot under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces will likely turn their attention to the southern sector of the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project and Hikmah School.

If these aforementioned sites are recaptured by the Syrian Armed Forces in southern Aleppo, then they will have effectively reversed all of the jihadist gains.
