VIDEO: Syrian Army knocks out rebel tank in downtown Daraa

Rebel forces in southern Syria will not be allowed to overrun Daraa any time soon as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) refuses to relinquish ground inside the provincial capital.

During counter-insurgency operations in the embattled Al-Manshiyah suburb on Wednesday, SAA troops immobilized a rebel tank amid ongoing clashes in the residential area.

4 militants were burnt alive inside the armored vehicle as the entire tank crew was unable to escape the missile blast according to the SAA’s official media wing.

Although both sides continue to suffer heavy losses in the Al-Manshiyah and Deraa Al-Balad neighborhoods, neither side has definitively gained the upper hand in the battle for Daraa.
