Head of Pakistani Sindh’s Development-Seeking Party Ghulam Qadir Magsi underlined that the Saudi-led airstrikes against Yemen have been launched to distract world attention from Israel’s real threat to the region.
“The fabricated crises in the region are sponsored by the US to take Muslim states’ attention off from Israel’s real threat,” Magsi told FNA on Monday.

He underlined that the outcome of ongoing conflicts among the Muslim countries is nothing, but the weakening of the world of Islam.

Magsi pointed to the US support for Israel, and said, “As long as the US supports Israel it will not recognize Palestine as an independent country and will prevent solidarity among Muslims through waging war among them.”

He admired his country’s decision to avoid partnership in the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen, and called on the Pakistani government to mediate an end to the war.

Saudi Arabia launched its bombing campaign against Yemen on March 26 in an attempt to restore power to fugitive President Mansour Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

The Monarchy’s attacks have so far claimed the lives of at least 3,018 civilians, mostly women and children.

On Tuesday and after four weeks of bombings, Riyadh declared end to military operations in Yemen, but Saudi warplanes are still bombing residential areas across the war-ravaged nation one week after.
