Hassan Mahmoud Srour from Tripoli, Lebanon is interviewed by the press in Syria after he and his group of Jihadis who sneaked into Syria from Lebanon in November 2012 were ambushed by the Syrian Army, where over a dozen of the group members were killed. Srour was able to escape but was eventually caught and arrested by the Syrian authorities. He points to Lebanon’s Salafist movement founder, preacher al-Shahhal of Tripoli, as the main man under whom these Salafis in Tripoli operate.
