Vietnam official calls for strengthening economic ties with Iran

Visiting President of the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Society here on Thursday called for boosting economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“We must help strengthen the existing weak economic relations between Iran and Vietnam,“ said Deng No Levy in a meeting with Deputy Governor-General of Isfahan province for Political Affairs Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili.

“Fortification of the existing economic relations is the end of my visit to Iran, and I am confident the end will be materialized thanks to resolve of Iranian president,’ he added.

Tracing back the mutual friendly relations to a far in the past, he described Isfahan as an attractive historical and natural phenomena.

Esmaili also in this meeting stressed the expansion the ties with Vietnam, a friendly country and said Iran respects the Vietnamese government and nation mostly because of their struggles agianst the world arrogance.

He described Vietnamese resistance as a turning point and inspiration for all struggles against US colonialist goals in the present days in the world.

Esmaili pointed to the next year Non-Aligned Movement coutries’ summit meeting in Isfahan and said Isfahan with seven thousand years of history keeps an extraordinary position in developing Iran.
