Violent clashes between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers in east of Qods

Violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers on Friday evening in the town of Eizariya east of Jerusalem, and continued until dawn Saturday.

Local sources and eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired rubber bullets and tear gas grenades at the Palestinian youths, wounding a number of them.

The Israeli radio claimed that two border guards were slightly wounded as the Palestinians threw stones at them during the confrontations.

Meanwhile, the IOF arrested four boys between the ages of 15 and 20, from the town of Sur Baher in Jerusalem, suspected of throwing stones at a settler’s vehicle.

The occupation police said that the four detainees were taken to Court on Friday to extend their detention.
