West will apologize to Iran soon

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says arrogant powers will soon apologize to Iran in “abject weakness” and ask for establishing relations with the Islamic Republic.

“Their struggling is out of weakness and they know quite well that they cannot do a damn thing, but they set the stage in a way as if they are capable of doing anything,” President Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with families of the martyrs of Iraq’s imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) on Sunday.

Criticizing the US and Israel’s objections to his Lebanon trip, the Iranian chief executive downplayed “enemy threats,” saying the threats were to no avail.

President Ahmadinejad made his first state visit to Lebanon on Wednesday where he was warmly welcomed by senior Lebanese officials and people.

Tel Aviv and Washington had expressed great concerns over the Iranian president’s visit to Lebanon, calling the trip a political provocation.

Referring to his presence in the Bint Jabil neighborhood in southern Lebanon — where he addressed a large crowd of people on Wednesday — the Iranian chief executive touched upon Israel’s unsuccessful occupation of the area, saying that the Lebanese managed to inflict defeat on Israel through sacrifice and resistance.

“The Zionist regime’s foundation is based on militarism and humiliation of others and if this regime fails to frighten a nation, it will lose its morale and will be destroyed,” he added.

President Ahmadinejad said that Iran would not turn a blind eye to the US-led wars on Iraq and Afghanistan and the occupation of the states under the excuse of the war on terror.

“The enemies say now that you [Iran] have become nuclear do not become engaged in world affairs and keep silent in face of our actions, including occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan,” the Iranian president continued.

“They are angry with us due to our influence in the world,” President Ahmadinejad concluded.
