Western style rule at the end of its road

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that contrary to US policy, the Islamic Republic seeks to foster friendship and justice among different countries.

Speaking among Iranians living in the US, President Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that there were two styles of management in the world, one that is based on the US policy of “coercion” and “hegemony”, and the other one rooted in the Iranian culture.

“In the American one, anyone who holds power is undisputedly considered rightful,” the Iranian chief executive said, adding that the American management style sought a policy of taking advantage of other nations.

President Ahmadinejad also called the Western-style management a “failed experience” and said it was “at the end of its road.”

He added that on the contrary there was the Iranian policy seeking to establish peace, friendship and justice among the nations.

Iran has managed to win the hearts of people across the world without resorting to coercion or invasion, the president said, adding that the Iranian nation has never been seeking to plunder other nations’ wealth.

On the Iranian nuclear program, President Ahmadinejad rejected Western accusations that the Islamic Republic was seeking nuclear weapons.

“They want to oppose us and they call it proliferation although they know we don’t have nuclear weapons,” he noted.

According to Ahmadinejad, Iran does not need a nuclear bomb since it is blessed with its scientists and educated people.

The Iranian president is currently in New York to deliver a speech at the 65th UN General Assembly session at the United Nations.

He will also take part in the Millennium Development Goals summit to be attended by 140 heads of state.
