The president of Iran’s parliamentary Cultural Commission explained that Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter will lead to growth and awareness among the European and North American youth in regard to the issues surrounding the crimes that certain superpowers in the world have committed throughout the world.

Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Salek-Kashani referred to the second letter written by Iran’s Supreme Leader to European and North American youth, saying that the Supreme Leader’s visionary letter to Western youths will play a fundamental role in the introduction of pure Muhammadan Islam to the world, reported Rasa.

In a letter released on Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei once again addressed the Western youth asking them to open their eyes in regard to Islam and the current events taking place around the world. The letter follows a similar message to the Leader’s message written in the aftermath of the January 2015 attacks on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket that killed 17 people in Paris.

The president of the Iranian parliament’s Cultural Commission added that the letter prepares the ground to spread the message of truth in the West through its youth, who seek freedom, independence and religious understanding.

This letter seeks to inform the youth of the West of the relation between the events which recently occurred in Paris and is the same state-sponsored terrorism that which the Palestinian people have suffered for more than sixty years.

“France is just a small example of the sixty years of crimes that the Palestinians have witnessed at the hands of the Zionist regime,” he added.

Hujjat al-Islam Salek-Kashani added that this letter will lead to growth and awareness among the European and North American youth in regard to the issues surrounding the crimes that certain superpowers in the world have committed throughout the world.

His Eminence said familiarizing the youth with this atmosphere of terrorism will have an effective role in regulating an effective movement in defense of Islam which is free from any relation with ISIL.

“Today’s youth are disillusioned with the corruption in North America and Europe and are looking for a firm base and that base only exists in pure Muhammadan Islam. For this reason, the Supreme Leader wrote a letter to the young people of the West at this most opportune time,” he said.

Hujjat al-Islam Salek-Kashani referred to Ayatollah Khamenei’s emphasis that Western youths should lay the foundations for correct and honest engagement with the Muslim world, saying: “The first step to introduce such engagement and interaction is to deepen one’s religious knowledge and building a strong relationship with religious centres and seminaries can also have a significant role in the formation of such a foundation.”

In another part of the interview, the Iranian scholar mentioned the need to examine and explain the actions of the leaders of Western countries, especially the United States, for Western youth. “If we examine the role of the US and the Zionist regime in regard to various issues, such as human rights, and properly explain such issues to the Western youth, they will realize that the statements of their leaders are in contradiction to each other,” the cleric said.

The representative of Kashan in the Iranian parliament explained that embassies and cultural advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran should consider the Supreme Leader’s letter as a priority in their missionary activities, adding that media sources, including television channels and radio stations, should also place the issues that the Leader raised at the top of their agenda and not deal with this letter just as a slogan.
