Widespread protests against US and NATO in Turkey

Large multitude of people in Turkey protests in Ankara, and once more shows their resentment for the deployment of Patriot missiles system in Turkey-Syria borders.
According to Syrian News Agency (SANA), there are widespread protests by Turkish citizens chanting slogans against the presence of the US and NATO forces on their soil, demanding their departure.

Since late last month, the angry youth have been protesting and attacking German military forces that are there to install the Patriot missile system in southern Turkey. Similar protests were held in IskenderunandAdana to protest deployment of the Patriot missiles battery.

Interventionist policies of the Justice and Development Party, led by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, have encountered staunch opposition and condemnation from wide range of people in Turkey.

Mehmet Şeker MP n Turkish Parliament pointed to Erdogan’s government policies that have closed their eyes to the crimes by the terrorists in Turkey saying tihat “the government is taking the country towards a very dangerous and uncertain path.”

Sedat Ergin, Turkish analyst and writer wrote “Erdogan’s government policies have put Turkey in a national security risk.”

Cüneyt Ülsever Yurtmagazine analyst emphasized that “Turkish government along with some of the regional countries, Including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, is trying to establish another Ottoman Empire and for doing so, they spill oil on the fire of religious conflicts in various countries.”
