World highest library opened on Iranˈs Damavand peak

World’s highest library was opened on the peak of Davamand Mountain in Tehran province.

According to IRNA, the library which is situated at the height of 4,200 meters is built and equipped by a number of Iranian climbers.

The event took place to celebrate the 27th International Book Fair to open in Tehran within days.

The flag of the book fair was carried to the peak of the mountain by a seven-member climbing team.

The 27th Tehran International Book Fair will be held from April 30 to May 10, 2014.

Damavand is the highest peak in Iran and tops the Alborz range of mountains which runs in major parts of northern country.
