World Quds Day marked in Ecuador

World Quds Day was commemorated in two big cities of Ecuador, Quito and Guayaquil, IRNA reported.

In the ceremonies which were held in support of Palestinian people and expressing solidarity with them, ambassadors of Bolivia, Guatemala, Nicaragua as well as Cuban embassy first secretary, a number of Ecuadorian political and cultural figures and members of Iran’s Islamic center in Ecuador were present.

In Quito, the event was held in “ Culture House” and a number of speakers talked about oppressed people of Palestine and condemned crimes of the Zionist regime in occupied territories, their invasion against humanitarian aids flotilla and asked for stopping settlement buildings, ending besieged of the Gaza Strip and trial of the Zionist regime officials.

In the same ceremony in the port city of Guayaquil, universities professors, students, representatives from political parties and one of the Ecuador national assembly deputy and a number of local figures were present.

Iran’s Ambassador to Ecuador Majid Salehi attended both ceremonies in Quito and Guayaquil and delivered speeches in both locations.
