Rabid dog Israeli drivers deliberately run over Palestinians in WB

Palestinian authorities say Israeli drivers have intentionally run over several Palestinians in recent days across the occupied West Bank.

This comes as several Palestinians lost their lives in separate incidents after being run over by settlers in the occupied region over the past few days.

On Sunday, a Palestinian man was killed after being knocked down by an Israeli settler in al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Also on Thursday, Mohammed Abdel Karim Mohammed Abu Isleim, 23, was hit while he was trying to cross a street near the illegal settlement of Barkan in Salfit.

Separately, On August 7, a settler ran over and injured an 8-year-old Palestinian girl in the southern West Bank.

Local Palestinian residents and witnesses said they believed the drivers had deliberately killed Palestinians.

More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem) in 1967.

Moreover, figures show at least 22 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank over the past month. Most of them were shot dead during continuous protest rallies against the Israeli onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Nearly 2000 Palestinians, including 470 children, have lost their lives and nearly 10,200 have been wounded since the Israeli military unleashed fatal assaults on the densely-inhabited Strip on July 8.

Palestinian human rights groups also say Israeli forces are systematically killing Palestinian children and youths in the occupied West Bank.

The rights groups say there is a growing trend among Israeli soldiers to target Palestinian children and youths.
