Two members of Saudi Arabia’s military have died in counteroffensives by Yemeni forces in retaliation for Saudi Arabia’s roughly-year-long military aggression.

Corp. Mohammed Bouhi Mohammed Khabrani was killed in the al-Harath district in the south of the Jizan region in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Wednesday during border clashes with Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah fighters, Saudi website Ajel reported.

Houthi fighters joined forces with allied units of Yemen’s army a day earlier to seize a military base in the region.

Saudi news website Akhbaar24, meanwhile, reported the death of Salim bin Faraj Allowabesi, another Saudi military personnel member, during a separate counterattack hitting the kingdom’s southern borders on Wednesday.

The Saudi military has been pummeling the Arab world’s poorest nation from the ground, sea and air since March 26 in a bid to undermine Houthi fighters and bring fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a Riyadh ally, back to power. More than 7,500 people have been killed and over 14,000 others injured since then.
