Tens of thousands of Yemenis have once again taken to the streets of the capital, Sana’a, to slam the Saudi military aggression against the impoverished Arab country, Press TV reports.

The crowd of Yemenis in the capital chanted slogans against the Al Saud family, the Israeli regime and the United States during the protest against the brutal aggression that has claimed the lives of more than 950 people since March 26.

The protesters also chanted, “The Yemeni nation is united,” during the event. They said the Yemeni revolutionaries will not relent in their determination to achieve the goals of the uprising.

The participants in the demonstration stated that the regime in Riyadh is a tool at the hands of Washington and the Tel Aviv regime.

The demonstration in the Yemeni capital was held against the backdrop of an announcement by Saudi Arabia on April 21 that Riyadh was stopping the airstrikes.

However, Yemen’s al-Masirah TV reported on Wednesday that Saudi warplanes carried out an airstrike against an area in the southern province of Lahij.

Saudi Arabia stated in late March that the aim of the airstrikes was to bring Yemen’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, back to power. Hadi is a close ally of Riyadh.

On April 5, the Houthi Ansarullah revolutionaries captured the government headquarters in the southern port city of Aden, where the fugitive former president had fled to before leaving the country for Saudi Arabia.
