Yemenis conduct fresh retaliatory drone attack on zionist Saud’s Jizan airport

Yemeni armed forces have launched a fresh retaliatory drone attack on Saudi Arabia's Jizan airport, the fourth such raid on the kingdom's airports in the past hours.

The al-Masirah TV channel reported that Yemeni army soldiers and allied fighters from Popular Committees had targeted the Jizan airport on Wednesday using Qasif-K2 combat drones.

It quoted Yemen’s armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e as saying that the drone strikes had accurately hit the targets and led to the disruption of air traffic at the airport.

He also noted that the attack came in response to the crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen and the military alliance’s continued siege of the impoverished country.

On Tuesday, the coalition carried out a similar drone attack on the Jizan airport and another two raids on King Khalid air base in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern Asir Province.

Yemen drones hit Saudi Arabia’s Jizan airport Yemeni army forces and their allies have launched a string of drone strike against Jizan airport in southern Saudi Arabia, destroying hangars for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Yemeni fighters regularly target positions inside Saudi Arabia in retaliation for the Saudi offensive, which began in March 2015 in an attempt to reinstall the country’s Riyadh-allied former regime and crush the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

The Western-backed military aggression, coupled with a naval blockade, has killed tens of  thousands of Yemenis, destroyed the country’s infrastructure and led to a massive humanitarian crisis.

The US-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), a nonprofit conflict-research organization, estimates that the Saudi-led war has claimed the lives of over 60,000 Yemenis since January 2016.
