Ansarullah revolutionary movement has taken 117 hirelings of Saudi Arabia in the Southern provinces of Yemen, media sources said.

“60 armed militants loyal to fugitive Yemeni president Mansour Hadi who were held captive by Ansarullah are now being kept in the central prison of Sana’a,” the sources were quoted as saying by al-Omana Net on Wednesday.

“The Ansarullah movement has captured them during clashes in the Southern provinces,” they added.

According to the sources, at present 117 Saudi-affiliated militants are held captive by Ansarullah whose names have also been released.

The report came after Zeifollah al-Shami, a senior Ansarullah leader, disclosed late August that fugitive Yemeni president Mansour Hadi is recruiting new mercenaries for the Saudi army.

“Mansour Hadi is looking for new mercenaries to further massacre the Yemeni nation,” Shami said in reaction to Hadi’s recent visit to Sudan.

The remarks by Shami came while 700 new forces from Maarib province’s tribes went to Saudi Arabia for military training in lieu of receiving 2,000 Saudi rials.

Hadi in August visited Sudan where he met Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

Some 3,000 Sudanese mercenaries were among the Saudi-led ground troops that invaded Aden in Southern Yemen three months ago.
