Iranian independent presidential candidate Mohsen Rezaei says Iran’s youths are the most important asset of the country and that he will seek their help in resolving the country’s problems if elected.

Rezaei, who is currently the secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, made the remarks in his first election documentary aired on Iran’s national TV on Monday.

He said that making use of the potentials of the new generations and preparing them to administer the country is high on his agenda.

Rezaei also described Iran’s economy as his most important concern.

The presidential candidate said he plans to control the liquidity to curb the inflation and increase domestic production to boost the currency.

Rezaei will be competing against Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, President of the Center for Strategic Research of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, lawmaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati, former First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi in Iran’s 11th presidential election.

On June 14, Iranians will cast their ballots at over 66,000 polling stations across the country, and some 285 polling stations will be set up for Iranian nationals in other countries.
