Zahhar: Israeli occupation will come to an inevitable end

images_News_2014_04_09_zahhar_300_0Mahmoud al-Zahhar, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, affirmed that his movement will never accept to be a part of Israeli-Palestinian authorities’ conditions to extend negotiation process.

In a workshop organized by Management and Policy Academy in Gaza on Tuesday, Zahhar said that “the West is aware that Hamas is not a problem but part of the solution, but the question is how we can be part of the solution, is it at the expense of the resistance project?”

Settlement construction does not constitute any fears to the propagators of the resistance project because they know that they will re-take them one day; however those settlements constitute a source of fear for those who support the negotiation path, he added.

What is the PA’s future program after the end of negotiations? Will it resort to resistance, he wondered, stressing that occupied West Bank is an important base for armed resistance.

Zahhar stated that the negotiation process has threatened Palestinian people’s legitimate rights and constants mainly the right of return, holy sites, and land.

On the other hand, the senior leader in Hamas movement stressed that Palestine and Egypt share a historical relationship that cannot be ignored.

“Our experience taught us not to intervene in the internal affairs of any country including Egypt and all the neighboring countries”, he said, describing Egyptian media’s charges and incitement against his movement as sheer lies.

If communicating with Hamas movement became a punishable offense by Egyptian law, so Egyptian General Intelligence should be punished for its dealing with Hamas along the past years to maintain security in Sinai, he added.
