Zarif: Iran powerfully pursues its righteous path

Zarif made the remarks in a conference of newly-elected representatives for the 10th parliament after victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

The ill-wishers cannot see that unfair economic sanctions have been lifted, he said.

Arab states ignore the fact that extremism poses threat to themselves and instead of joining the international campaign against terrorism, they sow discord between Shia and Sunni Muslims, Zarif said.

‘We should seriously deal with escalation of discord and extremism and thwart menaces of Iranophobia and new Shiaphobia in the region,’ Zarif said.

Iran mobilized its regional diplomacy to foster stability by fighting extremism, he said.

Zarif said that Iran follows a powerful diplomacy in the region to deal with perils of the policies of regional rulers including the Saudis.
