Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will land in Beirut on Tuesday as part of a regional tour that he organizes following the international visits to Tehran during the last two weeks.

Zarif will start his tour in Lebanon by visiting the tomb of great martyr Hajj Imad Mughniyeh in Rawdat Shahidayn cemetry, in Beirut southern suburbs.

Diplomatic mediums noted that the Iranian official is expected to inform the Lebanese officials about the nuclear deal, and will re-emphasize that the stability of Lebanon is priority to Iran.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said after signing the nuclear deal with the P5+1 group that the agreement will not affect Iran’s foreign policy or its support to the resistance movements in the region.

“Signing the nuclear deal will not alter our support for our regional friends. The oppressed Palestinian people, the oppressed Yemeni people, the people and government of Syria. the people and government of Iraq, and the Mujahedeen in Lebanon and Palestine will always get our support,” his eminence said after leading Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Imam Khomeini’s shrine in Tehran.

Zarif is also scheduled to go to Damascus on Wednesday to complete the Syrian-Iranian consultations and coordination.
