IRGC chief warns zionist terror regime: Iran’s reaction to any threat will be crushing

During an inspection on Wednesday of IRGC units in southern Iran, Major General Hossein Salami referred to Israel’s latest rants against the Islamic Republic, following a claim by the regime and its allies that Tehran was behind a reported attack on Tel Aviv-managed tanker Mercer Street in the Sea of Oman.

“The enemies who have been speaking, these days, with a language of threats about the Islamic Republic’s establishment, particularly the usurping Zionist regime, must develop an understanding of the realities about the Islamic Republic of Iran’s and the IRGC’s defense and offense power,” said Salami. “Under our defense policies and strategies, there is no action by any enemy, anywhere, and on any scale that will be tolerated and will not have us react harshly and firmly.”

The IRGC chief commander said Iran’s missile, naval and drone units are presently at an “unprecedented level of preparedness” for “any scenario.”

Salami said insecurity in the region is rooted in the enemies’ aggressive policies, adding, “Our enemies must know that the era is over for them to be able to threaten our interests or forces somewhere but face no reaction.”

The IRGC commander said, “This is not a diplomatic message, but one from the field. We speak in the field.”

“Those who speak against us with threatening rhetoric — including the Zionist regime’s premier and its other officials — should beware of the dangerous repercussions of their statements and exercise the necessary caution in their calculations,” Salami warned.

Tensions have simmered in the region after a suspected drone attack last week on an Israeli-managed tanker off the Omani coast killed two crew members and was blamed on Iran by the United States, Israel and Britain, without any evidence.

Iran categorically denied any involvement.

The US said Sunday that it would work with their allies to respond to the alleged attack.

Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Benett also said Tuesday that the regime was rallying “global action” against Iran but is capable of “acting alone” if necessary.

Iran has warned that it will not hesitate to give a crushing response to any threat against its security.

Tehran wrote to the United Nations Securit Council on Wednesday and warned about recent suspicious attempts to create artificial maritime “incidents” in the Persian Gulf and the broader region, urging a swift end to such “irresponsible acts” that harm the region’s peace.
